Vanellope Von Schweetz Cosplay or Halloween Costume DIY!
***Updated from 2014 post** One of my favorite Disney shows always is Wreck-it Ralph! "Who doesn't dear a brat alongside muddied hair?" Vanellope Von Schweetz...the Glitch, is such a loveable character! With the furnish of Vanellope to the big screens inwards Ralph Breaks the Internet, this costume is notwithstanding a crowd pleaser. Perfect for a tween Halloween costume or a fun Disney inspired cosplay.

Giant Needle
Lighter/Match

My missy decided to live Vanellope for Halloween 2014. Complete alongside messy Hair candy!
It's a pretty elementary costume too tardily to DIY if you lot haven't planned that far ahead!
Start: Costume Base
Gather the aqua hoodie, brownish skirt too aqua leggings/tights. We flora the hoodie on Ebay, the skirt at a thrift shop too the tights of Amazon.
Next, role the HOT PINK paracord too a giant darning needle too thread it correct through the hoodie. In the pocket...through the shirt, dorsum through the shirt too hence finished upwards going dorsum through the pocket.
It's pretty intense threading the paracord through the hoodie...easy does it hence it doesn't tear the hoodie.
After stitching the "X", role a lighter too melt the paracord ends together.
Use the pliers to press the melted ends together firmly until the nylon has melted together.
Both stitches are melted together within the kangaroo pocket. One only has the X showing...the other has the 2 lines showing.
Next, the mint leggings!
Start yesteryear cutting vi inch strips of cardboard too insert them into the leggings. This volition run along the pigment from haemorrhage through the tights too sticking to the other side.
Then role painters record too record off diagonal stripes on ane side too conduct across stripes on the other leg.

Use polymer clay to brand all the piffling pieces of candy. These mints are fun to make! Take 2 balls of clay too smoosh them inwards the form of mints...
Then cutting each slice into 8 sections, similar you lot are cutting a pie or a pizza.
Repeat the cutting for the other color too.
Then set the "pie" dorsum together alternating the colors.
Make confetti or sprinkle pieces, viscid bears, stars, mints too hearts... hence bake according to package...about fifteen minutes at 275*
Instead of trying to set all the candy on private clips too OVERLOADING her caput alongside bobby pins...I devised a genius solution! I used some plastic netting...the sort that comes alongside marbles or drinking glass gems...
Just house internet on a silicone mat...and hot gum all the pieces correct onto the net! Then, you lot only require to bobby pivot the internet inwards a few places on her caput too it's skillful to go! You can't fifty-fifty divulge the netting--especially if you lot bring dark hair!
Next, the licorice twist!
