Vintage Inspired Paper Prize Ribbons DIY!
This calendar week I am doing all vintage inspired crafts, gearing upward for the Downton Abbey Movie that comes out on September 20th. This arts and crafts is uncomplicated together with cute. These newspaper ribbons would brand keen prize ribbons for a Halloween Costume contest, whatsoever upshot or merely every bit about domicile decor. I used them at a 1920's Downton Abbey themed political party alongside the costume challenger prizes. I'll bring the amount political party posted on Friday!
These ribbons are made of distressed gilded together with metallic element cardstock, giving them the perfect vintage look.
Supplies Needed: (aff links)
Metallic Cardstock
Scoring Board alongside Stylus
Circle Punch
Scallop Punch
Hot Glue/Gun
Scissors
Begin past times cutting 3 12" strips of newspaper that are 2" wide. Then cutting ane strip inwards half. Cut out ii circles together with ane scalloped circle.
Place the long 12" strips on the score board tightly across the exceed edge.
Then role the stylus to score a business every 1/2 inch.
Repeat for the 2nd strip of paper.
Then squeeze box crease the newspaper on the score lines.
Hot gum the ii pieces of squeeze box folded newspaper together to brand a loop. Then set a bunch of hot gum on ane of the punched circles.
Then press the squeeze box folded loop downwardly on the hot gum to brand a tight fan circle.
Next, hot gum the scalloped circle on exceed of the fan. Then add together the circle to the center. Cut the shorter strips of newspaper alongside pair of scissors to brand the pinked border on the bottom.
Finally hot gum the ribbon tails on the backside of the circular fans. Basically, that's it!
Because I used these for a costume contest, I added a smaller circle of watercolor newspaper alongside a bloom painted on it, likewise every bit the "placing" inwards marker. Then hot glued to the center.
