Halloween Inwards A Galaxy Far Far Away...

 2008 was i of our "poorest" Halloweens.

We simply didn't cause got the coin for elaborate costumes...

we thought!

Jared was born at the get-go of September, 

and I had a lot of tardily nighttime feedings alongside him.

While I would feed him, I would contemplate how 

I could brand Halloween costumes for our family.

My let on 1 in addition to let on two decided nosotros should create a 

STAR WARS themed Halloween.

Dan allow me know that he wanted to move General Greivous

Hay wanted to move Shaak Ti

and they wanted Jare to move Yoda...Mike to move Darth Maul,

and I was to move Barriss Offee...yes nosotros know Star Wars quite well.

What to do?

Mike shaved his caput bald in addition to nosotros used pigment nosotros already had.

The horns were inexpensive latex horns nosotros flora at Smiths 

and he glued them on his caput alongside spirit gum

(which nosotros already had)

Black "jedi" costume in addition to robe nosotros already had from

the Ringwraith costume two years back...

 I had some white textile and 

some greenish dye laying around...

after dying the textile I fashioned a hat...

with "rabbit" ears for the babe Yoda.  

Brown textile alongside a hole cutting for the caput and

tied alongside a belt over his fiddling pajamas...

Not that he liked it...

 Mine was easy...green peel (done alongside eyeshadow),

black beanie, dark robe (had both) 

and some eyeliner drawn diamonds in addition to lips.

The challenge was #1 in addition to #2...

I had a tardily nighttime epiphany!

I would brand the caput slice alongside a ski mask in addition to "fun" foam!

I hence painted the foam...cut a lawn tennis ball inwards one-half in addition to sewed it to the hat...

then pinned inwards the side foam pieces...the cape was 

sewn alongside textile I already had equally well, 

and shoulder pauldrons stitched on.

For Shaak Ti, I used the white textile I used for Yoda...

keeping it white in addition to colored stripes alongside teal crayon.  

I used a ruby-red beanie to create the hat...sewing horns 

and stuffing them alongside cotton.  I was hence blessed

as I made this headdress!  Everything worked perfectly!

  The robe was alongside some chocolate-brown textile I already had...

I made her a chocolate-brown wearing clothing equally well.

Some ruby-red in addition to white pigment in addition to Ta Da!

 

It's times similar these when all that "hoarding" has paid off!

This was such an awesome, memorable Halloween...
We went to Walmart to cause got some identify unit of measurement pics taken in addition to got tons of attention!
People gathered roughly in addition to wanted their pic taken alongside Darth Maul!
Way fun!

1. Cheap

2. Fast

3. Quality
