This is a throwback to October 15th 2012.
Still, to date, 1 of my favorite Halloween projects!

And I honey Halloween!

Ghosts inward the Graveyard--a Halloween Photo Shoot!

The kickoff matter nosotros did was direct keep 376 pictures.
Well, lets dorsum up. I told my kids what I wanted to do. Surprisingly, they were all on board! Even the iv twelvemonth old! Yay!
So nosotros dressed them up. I picked church building clothes that looked the most old-timey.
And the boys wore some bow ties that I hot glued together.
The boys had vests...the daughter had an former schoolhouse clothing in addition to nighttime grayness tights. Pretty plain.

Then nosotros establish some accessories. Old keys, a vintage pocketwatch in addition to a lacy parasol.
Then nosotros trekked around our neighborhood...with me inward a hoodie in addition to yoga pants... looking for peachy picturesque places...and the little cemetery a mile across the route from us. (yes, nosotros walked...we are a 1 motorcar household)

Using a tripod, I would direct keep a painting alongside my kids, in addition to then without moving the tripod the kids would pace out of the painting in addition to I would a few of merely the background. The best role close this photoshoot is that I didn't postulate all
my kids to grinning at the same time! :) I merely told them to await sort of sad...and nosotros got some peachy shots!

Now, I am a photoshop girl. I've used it since high school...

I intend that's when the cavemen kickoff invented photoshop for pc's. Anyways.

I decided to endeavor out pixlr...and I honey it! It's free...so super bonus there!

And it navigates basically the same equally photoshop,

so it didn't direct keep me long to figure things out.

I loaded inward two pictures. One alongside my children inward it...and 1 of the obviously background!

This 1 is my favorite...look at my cute kids.

The edits hither are super simple! But that's perfect, anyone tin produce it! Here's what I did.
Open upward both pictures inward pixlr.

Then re-create the painting alongside the people in addition to paste it correct over the transcend of the

plain background picture.

You direct keep two layers now. Then on the transcend layer (the 1 alongside the people) select that tiny carrot: Toggle Layer Settings

It volition convey upward the OPACITY bar. This is the fun part. Just usage the slider to brand the people appear ghost-like! Every painting is different. Some I took the opacity to 60% some alone 73%...

Then you lot desire to await at the layers in addition to brand certain they trouble upward equally practiced equally they can. Not e'er super perfect, but it gives it a vintage double exposed sort of feel!
Then I Desaturated the images... You tin also produce sepia tones or former photograph effects.

And again. 2 photos.

Paste. Opacity.

Desaturate. sepia...photo effects...

We altered tons of pictures! We had them printed inward 1 hr at Walmart, made cards for household unit of measurement in addition to friends in addition to wall decor for the entry way!
