Dalek Nightlight! Illuminate!

Do y'all e'er produce a projection that blows your ain mind?
I am totally impressed amongst myself almost this genius project!
The Dalek Nightlight!Illuminate!
(admit it...you said that inwards your caput inwards a Dalek voice!)

Here's the elementary diy.
I picked upward this Avengers nightlight from the Dollar Tree!

I printed off my favorite cartoonized movie of a Dalek.
I used it hither for a giant cut-out too!
You'll also require a canvass of Shrink plastic in addition to sharpie markers.

Lay the shrink plastic on top of the printout.

Tape inwards place.

And line the entire Dalek inwards black!

Then fill upward inwards in addition to color amongst silvery or gilded sharpie

Until satisfied.

Then cutting out that piddling Dalek leaving almost 1/8" or
so of a edge roughly the outline.

Okay, in addition to then melt the plastic inwards the oven.
(sadly at that spot are no pictures of this process...you house colored size upward on a baking sheet. Place inwards preheated 350* oven...and lookout adult man the plastic ringlet upward in addition to and then flatten dorsum out)
And...ta da!
Look how much it shrunk!

Okay, straight off for some fry surgery.
I removed the Avengers encompass plate for the light...it only slides on.
I used my bandsaw in addition to cutting the plate downwardly thence I could only role the slide on mechanism.
