Make a super elementary marionette!
Fun for kids to role too the perfect size!
I mean value this light-headed plane looks similar to Kevin from UP.
You could job the colors to match!
Walks too pecks amongst elementary controls too modest plenty for piddling hands!
This is a groovy diy for older kids...maybe 8+...boys or girls!

Here's what yous volition need:
(most available at the dollar store!)
half-dozen Pom poms: 1 large, iii medium, ii modest (contrast color)
1 mardi gras bead chain
ii arts and crafts sticks
yellowish felt
ii wiggly eyes
ii metallic washers
ii feathers
angling line.
Tools: hot glue/gun, a large needle too pair of scissors
Lets begin!
Hot gum your sticks together similar a cross...or an x
Cut your bead chain into iii pieces.
I didn't role all the beads, simply ix beads on each string.
Just eyeball it.
Basically, here's the layout...
Take the modest pom pom too gum it to the medium pompom.
Put hot gum on a washer
And stick it to the pom pom foot!
It volition automatically province on the washer every fourth dimension it steps...
addition it makes a clicky audio when they stride similar tap shoes!
Take a bead chain too hot gum it to the modest pom pom
Repeat for the minute leg too foot
Hot gum those legs to the large pom pom body!
Cut a diamond shape out of the yellowish felt.
Put a point of hot gum on it too pinch the overstep to shape a neb shape.
Hot gum the neb on the final remaining medium size pom pom
Add your wiggly eyes!
A plume to the overstep of the head...and the remaining bead
chain to the caput of the plane to the body, forming the neck!
Like so...hot gum the final plume into the backside for the tail feather!
Now for the string attachments.
The feet volition attach on either side of the cross.
The torso to the middle too the caput to the forepart of the x.
The dorsum of the cross volition last left for your hand!
Simply necktie angling occupation to the bead chain on the ankles too to either side of the arts and crafts sticks "cross".
For the head, necktie angling occupation to the overstep bead of the neck...
Take a needle too thread it on the angling occupation too stab it through his head...
from the cervix to the overstep of the head...
that string ties of the forepart of the cross slice for maximum caput pecking control!
For the body, I tied the angling occupation on i of the legs correct close the torso pom pom...
Then stabbed the needle through his breadbasket upwardly to the overstep of the back...
like this for groovy torso control!
Body occupation ties off on the middle of the sticks.
For the other 3, I cutting a slit inward the stick, wrapped too tied the string too hence snugged it inward the piddling slit.
And hot glued it inward house for maximum stay-put-ness.
There he is, totally finished!
