Hello Custom Acrylic Discussion Necklace Amongst Shrinky Dinks!

 

Custom Acrylic Necklaces are all the rage...

but unless yous create got a 3D printer, Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation cutter or desire to 

pass to a greater extent than than $30...{which I don't}

they are a lilliputian out of reach...until NOW!
 Say Hello to the DIY version--for CHEAP!
(These were made amongst materials I had on hand...love hoarding!)

or role twine, yarn, string...whatever!)

Here's what you'll need:

Shrinky dinks or Shrink plastic #6. 

(A lot of plastic create got out boxes are discover six...

Sharpies, Markers or colored pencils

scissors, x-acto knife

Jump rings, jewelry chain, pliers...

too the give-and-take yous desire to immortalize.

We chose Hello:

 We printed out the hi at 300% of what we
 wanted the finished projection to measure.
It shrinks almost 200%...keep that inwards mind.
So, the hi measured close 6 inches wide...
they finished at ii 1/4" wide.

Trace your give-and-take onto the shrink plastic on the fossil oil side...
for the yellowish hello, nosotros traced it the same direction...
nosotros reversed the give-and-take for the bluish one.
This is all based on preference, they both hold back awesome!


On the bluish one, nosotros made lilliputian bumps on
the sides for hole punching too...

If I was doing this amongst some tweens,
I'd larn amongst the slow road too exercise it the correct direction.

Punch holes, if yous take to.
Make certain they are bigger than merely i hole punch, they shrink quite a bit!

Now color them!
Using markers or colored pencils.
Sharpies operate GREAT too...you could exercise a argent or gilded one...or neon!
I used copic markers too blended colors to hold back ombre.

Remember to color on the fossil oil side of the plastic.
If yous are using recycled goods...maybe fossil oil it
upwards slightly amongst some sand newspaper first.

 Once they are colored, house them rough/colored side up
on a baking sheet.
Oven should live at 350*

Here's the uber fun too uber scary part!
