Homemade Crystal Stone Candy!

 I've seen unopen to recipes for Rock Candy before...but never amongst whatever pictures!!!
Isn't that the FIRST matter you lot await for?
Well, here's a tutorial for Rock Candy amongst fabulous pictures!

 Recipe:
three Cups Granulated Sugar
ane Cup water
Flavor (optional)
(I used Cherry)

 In a medium sized saucepan,
convey the carbohydrate together with H2O to a boil to dissolve all sugar.
You don't ask to rapid boil at all...for whatever amount of time.
Just dissolve the sugar.
It makes a super thick syrup!

 Add the flavoring...

 Prepare your jars together with sticks
I used stonemason jars...pint size.
In looking back, I would purpose the tallest together with thinnest drinking glass I have.

(let the syrup cool to room temperature.  If not, your carbohydrate on the sticks volition dissolve)

 problem amongst bugs or anything weird.

 About a calendar week later!

 We allow ours grow for nigh 2 weeks.

 And had a darling piffling carbohydrate crystal sucker!

 My kids absolutely LOVED to come across the blocky crystals.

 What to practise amongst the remaining crystals inwards the jar?

 Easy, it's pure carbohydrate right?
I poured out all the excess syrup together with allow the jolt drain upside
downward inwards a bowl for nigh v minutes.
Then, I used a fatty butter knife together with chipped out all the crystals I could.

 Equally every bit impressive, simply every bit tasty, together with a fun mix of colors!
It's crystally together with small, similar popular rocks...just no pop!

 Gorgeous right?

 Well, if I haven't convinced you lot to brand unopen to yourself...I approximate I never will!
