Skirt Refashion Sewing Fest!

I merely had a dandy large sewing fest in addition to fixed upwards all those

 skirts that I've been pregnant to create for years!

Yesterday was the extender slip sewing project!

I got this darling dark in addition to white apparel amongst plum trim

 for $6 at the thrift store.

And idea that miraculously my breast would 

grow in addition to I'd live able to fill upwards it...

alas, non fifty-fifty some extra padding made it work.

thence I cutting it inward half...lining in addition to all in addition to made it into a gorgeous skirt!

I used 1 1/2" elastic in addition to sewed the skirt, lining in addition to all correct to it.

The elastic doesn't show, because I ever untuck.

 Here's me wearing it amongst the skid extender from yesterday.

This crimson skirt I bought at my sister's tiny thrift shop inward her tiny urban heart for 50 cents...
two years ago.
It was 3X...too large for me.
I had planned on removing the waistband, taking inward extra textile and
 reworking the waistband for a perfect fit!
Hence the argue it's been sitting roughly for two years!
Let's instruct inward easy.
So I cutting the waistband off...right through the lining in addition to zipper too...
in addition to thence sewed on a loop of elastic.
I dear the extra flare it gives...fun agency to brand a flouncy skirt yesteryear taking
 one that is super large in addition to using all the textile to instruct inward smaller for you!

I took this adult sized peasant skirt in addition to made 

it represent my nearly ix twelvemonth quondam daughter.

This was an awesome jean skirt...super stretchy in addition to soft...
but had a really long rise...not a lower hip article of apparel that I prefer...
perchance I merely convey a brusk torso...either way,

 Cut off the excess waistband, correct nether the zipper...but through the dorsum pockets.
I did a quick long zig zag stitch to move on the bag flaps inward place.

 Measured the elastic...1" shorter than roughly the waist.
Then sewn together similar a loop.
Then I run upwards it onto my skirt...pulling the elastic gently spell sewing.
sewn amongst a long zig-zag to assistance it stretch when wearing.
I'm NOT pregnant...but this is a dandy way
to create upwards materials for motherhood article of apparel too!

This 1 was $1 at a yard sale...because the elastic was quondam in addition to stretched out.
I'd worn it a bunch of times yesteryear threading security pins through it...
merely praying it would remain on!
Finally fixed it yesteryear cutting off the quondam waistband in addition to sewing on elastic!

I wore it to church.
I didn't realize that the drawstring came undone and

Yes, my undies were showing.
The sweetness older ladies sitting behind me fifty-fifty snickered...
Ha ha ha!
I am glad I tin express joy virtually that now.  Glad I was merely amongst the

Also, never wore that skirt again...
